Your throat chakra is Vissudha, which translates into “purification”. This chakra located in the throat governs the health of the throat, nose, ears, mouth, neck and vocal cords, as well as the thyroid and parathyroid glands, which are responsible for metabolism.
This chakra is home of communication and the gateway to our creative expression. When this chakra is out of alignment you might experience your true voice locked inside, unable to be expressed. This inability to voice out inner truth, can lead to feelings of inadequacy, chronic shyness, and ultimately, to a withdrawal from the world.
The throat chakra, more than any other, governs our relationship with vibrations and resonance. When we find this resonance, a sense of harmony and rhythm is experienced. When not in resonance, we sense a feeling of discord.
