Are you looking for ways to improve your quality of life, reduce stress and anxiety, remove toxicity from the body and guiding it towards wholeness?

The traditional standard treatment in our American healthcare system rarely looks at the “root cause” of our symptoms and treats only the symptom. Therefore, we rarely address and heal the underlying cause. Left untreated, it can manifest into illness.

Our bodies are designed and fully equipped to heal themselves. Reiki taps into those innate abilities.

Reiki is a Japanese complementary alternative mind body medicine therapy that works with the human body’s bioenergy field. It uses vibrational, or subtle energy, administered most commonly by a light touch to assist the body’s ability to heal itself.

Reiki supports the whole person physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually while drilling down on specific issues.  Learning reiki is easy and can be used in a home or clinical setting to enhance the health and emotional wellness of both self and others. It is also complementary with all other alternative or traditional medical treatments, and in non-invasive.

A study done in 2007 by the National Health Interview Survey indicates that 1.2 million adults and 161,000 children received one or more sessions of energy healing therapy such as Reiki in the previous year. According to the American Hospital Association, in 2007, 15% or over 800 American hospitals offered Reiki as part of hospital services.

Reiki has gained acceptance and popularity over the years and is widely used and accepted as an effective therapeutic treatment in many medical offices and hospitals across the country.

As time goes on, there are more and more medical studies coming out on the efficacy of Reiki as a viable alternative treatment option. It is also used in conjunction with other conventional medicine treatment options.

What is Jikiden Reiki®?

Reiki (pronounced ray-key) is a simple form of energy healing from Japan known as “Shinshin Kaizen Usui Reiki Ryoho”, which translates as “Usui treatment for the improvement of body and mind”.

Jikiden Reiki® is the “direct teaching” of Reiki presented with credibility and clarity that is free from Western influence. The word Reiki itself means “soul energy”, which is the natural, vital healing force found in all life.

Jikiden Reiki® sessions focus on removing toxins from the body and guiding it towards wholeness. Jikiden Reiki is known for its effective treatment of acute and chronic conditions, as well as to address deep rooted beliefs, habits, traumas and addictions.  Reiki has been effective treatment option like alleviating pain, pre-op and post-op surgery recovery, anxiety, skin conditions and post-traumatic stress.

There are many benefits to Jikiden Reiki including:

Sessions are 60min, 90min or 120min each.

What to expect?

First, this is not religious. So this will not interfere with your current faith based religion.

Secondly, you should expect everything and nothing!

Everybody heals differently and reacts to energy differently.   Therefore, there is not way anyone can say specifically how one will react to a Reiki Session.

With that said, while experiencing a Reiki session, some have reported warm sensations, heat, cool sensations, tingling, a sudden sense of deep relaxation, or nothing identifiable at all.  Some report feeling wonderful healing waves of energy. Other times, people fall asleep and yes they snore.

Are there any so called negative side effects?

Because we are working with eliminating toxins from the body, people who receive treatments can sometimes feel a little worse for a short while after a treatment. The reason is simple.

We accumulate toxins daily whether through environment, food, thoughts, etc. Just like the pipes in our sink accumulate gunk, when we go to scrape these off the pipes, sometimes it stirs the gunk on the bottom, and temporarily muddies the waters until the gunk is flushed out.

We typically find those with a history of trauma to be the most greatly affected by this. However, that is not exclusive.

Having a practitioner that understands and knows how to assist you in navigating this healing process especially in regards to trauma is crucial.

Physical Sessions:

Practitioners are trained to sense levels of toxins present in the physical body. Reiki is then used to intensively promote detoxification and a return to the body’s normal homeostasis. Treatment of more serious or long-term conditions require a commitment to long-term care. The number and frequency of sessions are determined through the consultation with the practitioner.

When minor sicknesses, such as coughs and colds are being treated, they will move through the body much faster than usual.

Injuries will heal faster and with fewer complications, post operative recovery will be greatly enhanced.

Treatment of more serious or long term conditions is entirely possible, and the number and frequency of treatments should be discussed with the practitioner.

Treatments are usually administered with the client laying on a bed, treatment table or sitting in a chair fully clothed

Common physical issues treated:

Psychological Sessions:

Psychological treatments, known as Sei Heki and pronounced ‘say hey key’ in English, are extremely effective.

As with physical treatments, they are helpful for both minor issues and more serious or long term concerns.

Laura has many years of experience in this area and has used reiki as an effective treatment option for fear, anxiety, stress, depression, ptsd, addictions and trauma. Laura has a sub specialty in working with survivors of abuse including domestic abuse, sex abuse & child abuse.

Each person and each situation is unique, therefore it would be impossible to say whether an issue would be resolved / released in one, ten or more treatments.  It is usually recommended beginning with a series of 3 treatments.

This form of reiki can be used to help with range from smaller habits to deeper psychological challenges. A few examples are:

Some issues such as trauma can usually take longer to completely release than those at the top. Our bodies, our unconscious and this energy have intelligence, and an issue is only released at a rate that is safe for each person.

Having this type of treatment may resolve something within a few days in a way you may hardly notice. Alternatively, it may bring something up for you before it can be released – but remember; it will never bring up more than you can cope with at the time. Trust your body and your spirit.

Each situation is different and if something has been there for a long time such as childhood trauma, it is important to be patient and allow it to be released at the perfect time for you.

I am here to guide you through the process.

This form of reiki can be done in person or at a distance.

Distant Sessions:

Distant Jikiden Reiki treatments are also available. This requires a phone consultation prior and after each session which are sessions done remotely for those unable to travel for direct reiki.

Distant session can be just as beneficial if you would like a treatment but are not able to get to a practitioner.

It is also invaluable for those who practice Jikiden Reiki and have a sick friend or relative living far from them.
