Making Your Life A Living Prayer

What does it mean to make your life a living prayer?

In this deeply layered conversation, Laura welcomes Rosanne Romiglio-Ashley, author, artist, and spiritual teacher who writes under the ancestral name of her great great grandmother, Marie Dion. Together they explore what it means to walk between worlds with integrity, to bridge the seen and unseen, and to reclaim the wisdom of lineage without appropriation.

Rosanne shares her journey of reconnecting with her Indigenous heritage, being called by her ancestors, and honoring her family’s survival story. She speaks openly about ancestral guidance, the responsibility that comes with spiritual gifts, and the ripple effect of healing across generations.

The conversation weaves through prayer as gratitude rather than petition, cultural conditioning around spirituality, and the courage required to live in alignment with spirit. Rosanne recounts the ten year journey of returning a sacred pipe to its rightful home in the Black Hills, an experience that became the foundation of her book What’s Sacred.

Laura and Rosanne also discuss alternative healing paths, overcoming trauma, navigating triggers, and the importance of reconnecting with one’s own cultural roots rather than appropriating another’s traditions.

They explore the concept of life review, personal accountability, and how everyday choices shape both personal and collective healing.

This episode is a call back to simplicity.

Journaling by hand.

Practicing gratitude.

Listening for ancestral whispers.

Living with integrity.

Because meaningful spiritual growth does not come from grand gestures. It comes from consistent, courageous presence.

Rosanne will be sharing more of her teachings at Healing with Spirit Studio in Hingham on March 28th, including insights from What’s Sacred and Make Your Life a Living Prayer.

This is a conversation about remembrance.

About responsibility.

About reconciliation.

About love.

And about making your life the prayer itself.

About Rosanne

Rosanne Romiglio-Ashley is an award-winning designer, published author, versatile artist, and spiritual channel whose work bridges cultures, mediums, and the seen and unseen. Of Blackfoot, Wolastoqiyik (Maliseet), Mi’kmaq, French Canadian, and Italian descent, Rosanne walks the path of her lineage with reverence, devotion, and creative expression.

An author, Indigenous wisdom keeper, and artist in the truest sense, her work flows quietly yet powerfully beneath the surface — like an undercurrent shaping everything it touches. Through story, image, and spirit-led transmission, she invites others into deeper remembrance of who they are and where they come from.

Twenty years ago, Rosanne received a poem word for word — a transmission communicated to her by her ancestors in spirit. That transmission became her first book, Journey of a Red Soul, written under the name of her great-great-grandmother, Marie Dion. Marie hid her Native identity so her children would not be taken and placed into residential schools. Two generations later, Rosanne writes under her name to honor a lineage shaped by resilience, survival, and cultural reclamation.

Her second book, Returning What’s Sacred, chronicles her guided spiritual journey to return a sacred object to her people — an act of devotion, courage, and ancestral listening.

Through her teachings, gatherings, and speaking engagements — including “Make Your Life a Living Prayer” — Rosanne invites others into a lived spirituality rooted in remembrance, responsibility, and reverence. Her work speaks to those who feel called to ancestral wisdom, embodied devotion, and the quiet power of living as prayer.
