Manipura, the solar plexus chakra lives between your navel and the base of your sternum. This is where your “gut knowings”, the intuition that comes from your belly originates and is rarely wrong. Drawing the energy of the sunlight into your solar plexus chakra charges up your energy levels, your will power and your drive.
The solar plexus chakra is the seat of personal power and will. When activated, our whole system becomes fully energized, which in turn fires up our power, drive and sense of purpose.
Fire is the element associated with this chakra and just like fire it burns and generates energy, so our solar plexus fires our metabolism. With an over-charged solar plexus, we can fill life with constant activity, which often results in extreme workaholism, obsessive fitness regimes, or the driving pursuit of impossible goals. Defiant energy in this chakra is reflected in someone who gives away power and control, and therefore becomes submissive to others.
Through fast dynamic movement the solar plexus gets charged up and ignites fire in our belly with energy and strength.
When this chakra is balanced we move through life with genuine confidence and self-esteem.
