DESCRIPTION:The heart chakra’s true purpose is to help us experience the joy of loving and receiving love. The heart chakra balances the energies of our lower and upper chakras – we feel it as the breath that dances between body and spirit. An open heart is achieved by releasing any past wounds or attachments\, which may be hurting our heart.  \nThe key to this chakra is to find love\, forgiveness\, and compassion\, for both others and for ourselves. If this chakra is blocked\, we become critical and judgmental and on a physical level our shoulders are often hunched in an attempt to try to protect the heart.  \nIn Chakradance\, we open and expand through the chest\, inviting a softening of the heart. DESCRIPTION:What is a Reiju Kai?\nOnce you have learned Jikiden Reiki® you can also receive Reiju at a Reiju Kai meeting. This is like a short refresher course and social gathering. It is not necessary to receive it again to keep your Reiki ability active. Receiving it regularly is nice and beneficial though. \nThese Reiju Kai’s are only open to people certified in Jikiden Reiki®. People with Jikiden Reiki® certificates are welcome to attend meetings organized by any approved Jikiden Reiki® Teacher / Assistant Teacher. \nWhat Happens at a Reiju Kai?\nReiju Kai provides an opportunity for are for Jikiden Reiki® Practitioners to expand their reiki experience\, training\, & networking. This includes receiving a Reiju again from a Jikiden Reiki® approved teacher. While it is not necessary to receive it more than the number of times given in training\, it is still beneficial. \nOne of our goals with the Reiju Kai’s is also to build a strong reiki community that is supportive of each other’s growth. \nThe day will include some bonding\, networking\, as well as the opportunity to ask questions. \nA typical Reiju Kai includes the following: \n\nReiju (from all teachers present)\nAny news or announcements\nAbility to ask questions\nReview\nPractice Kekko\nExchange Reiki treatments\n\nIn Jikiden Reiki® we do not discuss the sacred aspects of Reiki in public\, so this is a place where such discussion can take place outside of Reiki training. \nAfterward\, the group may socialize with snacks and maybe go for a meal together as a group. DESCRIPTION:Join us for community\, song\, fire\, food\, prayer\, and offerings as we mark Samhain together honoring the ancestors and the turning of the wheel toward the dark half of the year. \nIn LIEU of a $35 donation to cover expenses\, we ask that you bring: \n\nAn offering for the fire\nA log for the fire\nHealthy food to share\nOptionally\, something to offer the circle – a song\, a story\, an experiential piece\, or an activity related to Samhain or ancestral remembrance. Let us know in advance so we can weave it into the gathering.\n\nIf you’re NOT able to bring these\, a $35 donation is welcome instead. This is a community-building event\, and helping with setup/breakdown also earns a free ticket. \nTo RSVP:  Contact Laura via text 857-880-0365 or via contact page \nADDRESS:  Because this is a private residence\, exact address given upon RSVP.  If inclement weather\, the address will shift to the Healing With Spirit studio space in Hingham. \n\n\n\nSamhain from the Irish Perspective\nSamhain (pronounced SOW-in) marks one of the four great fire festivals of the Irish agricultural and spiritual calendar\, alongside Imbolc\, Bealtaine\, and Lughnasadh. Falling around November 1st\, it marked the end of the harvest and the beginning of the dark half of the year … the boundary between the world of the living and the world of the dead was believed to grow thin\, allowing spirits\, ancestors\, and the Sídhe (the Otherworldly folk) to move more freely between realms. \nHistorically in Ireland\, Samhain centered on communal gathering rather than solitary observance. Households extinguished their hearth fires and relit them from a shared communal bonfire …often kindled at hilltop sites … binding the community together for the coming winter. The Hill of Tlachtga (in County Meath) is one of the most significant sites associated with these Samhain fires\, believed to be the origin point from which the ritual flame was distributed to hearths across the land. \nOfferings of food and drink were left out for the dead and for the Sídhe both as a gesture of respect and as protection\, placating spirits so the household and livestock would be safe through winter. \nDivination was common too: this liminal night was considered especially potent for seeing into the future\, through apple peels\, nuts thrown into the fire\, and other folk methods. \nSamhain was also a time of storytelling and communal reckoning such as tales of the ancestors\, the harvest\, and the dead were shared around the fire\, reinforcing lineage and continuity even as the visible world grew darker.

SUMMARY:Jikiden Reiki® Seminar in Shoden (Level I)
DESCRIPTION:Are you looking for ways to improve your quality of life\, reduce stress and anxiety\, remove toxicity from the body\, and guide it toward wholeness? \nThe traditional standard treatment in our American healthcare system rarely looks at the “root cause” of our symptoms and treats only the symptoms. Therefore\, we rarely address and heal the underlying cause. Left untreated\, it can manifest into illness. \nOur bodies are designed and fully equipped to heal themselves. Reiki taps into those innate abilities. \nReiki (pronounced ray-key) is a simple form of energy healing from Japan known as “Shinshin Kaizen Usui Reiki Ryoho”\, which translates as “Usui treatment for the improvement of body and mind”. \nReiki supports the whole person physically\, emotionally\, mentally\, and spiritually while drilling down on specific issues. Jikiden Reiki® sessions focus on removing toxins from the body and guiding it toward wholeness. \nJikiden Reiki® is the “direct teaching” of Reiki presented with credibility and clarity from authentic Japanese lineage. \nThis lineage goes from Dr. Hayashi to Mrs. Chiyoko Yamaguchi\, Tadao’s (current President of Jikiden Reiki Kenkyukai) mother\, who learned Reiki in 1938. Because this lineage has not gone through Mrs. Takata\, it lacks the Westernization of Reiki. \nLearning reiki is easy and can be used in a home or clinical setting to enhance the health and emotional wellness of both self and others. It is also complementary to all other alternative or traditional medical treatments and is non-invasive. \nIn these classes (called seminars)\, you will experience Reiki in its original beauty and simplicity as it was taught in Japan before it was brought to the West in the 1930’s. Because Jikiden Reiki is free from Western influence\, it differs from the “Western” style of Reiki in approach\, attitude\, and ideas.
